It’s finally arrived – renowned British Artist, Banksy has launched his awesome new theme park – which we are all invited to visit!

As you will probably have guessed – I love Banksy’s thought provoking art! I even visited Bristol last month to undertake my very own “Banksy Tour” of the city. Over the last decade, Banksy’s work has appeared in places across the globe. London, Bristol, New York, Israel to name but a few… But this installation is not the same as his others! It’s a theme-park!  *Cue fairground-esque music*

Who Would Visit?

In the words of Banksy himself, if you “are you looking for an alternative to the sugar-coated tedium of the average family day out? Or just somewhere a lot cheaper?
Then this is the place for you. Bring the whole family to come and enjoy the latest addition to our chronic leisure surplus…”

Ah I didn’t even realize you’d have to get tickets?! The last I heard it was being used as a refugee camp- true?

        • HandLuggageOnly

Yep – you had to get tickets too. Wow, I had no idea that it was being used as a refuge camp. Hopefully the council found more suitable alternatives.

    • HandLuggageOnly

It’s been so hard to get tickets – but I think that is what Banksy wanted, to make it all dismal. hahaha! 🙂

  • Emme B

I so want to visit Dismaland, Banksy is a genius. I live up north so, I could squeeze on weekend break instead abroad.

    • HandLuggageOnly

I know what you mean – did you end up going Emma? I really wanted to attend once it opened its doors too x

      • Emme B

Unfortunately I could not get hold of any tickets, hopefully he will decide to do another one. I should start a campaign for Banksy to come up north, there is an abandoned amusement park near where i live.

        • HandLuggageOnly

Yeah, we can only hope right Emme? It looks so amazing too. Shame it didn’t stay for long enough.

  • I’ve heard of this, when my friend told me, I thought it sounded awful, I don’t think she explained it very well haha just that Cinderella was dead, but it actually looks really interesting, there’s definitely a few clear messages he’s trying to express here.

    • HandLuggageOnly

Ha! I can understand how that must have sounded coming from your friend – it must have sounded like a terrible experience. hahaha 🙂

  • Adelaide

    Looks ridiculously wicked!!!!!!

Do you know if it’s open long term or just for a short while?
