I have a love affair with Wales. Wales as a whole has been one of my favourite places in the UK and it was home for quite some time so I may be biased here but the Welsh are some of the kindest, funniest and ‘fun-est’ people you’ll ever meet!

And then there’s that dramatic coastline… The rolling hills, beautiful beaches (sandy or rocky), sheer cliffs that drop into the seas, waterfalls and stunning castles. There’s just so much to see and do here and I always voraciously recommend a visit to anyone who even remotely indicates that they’re thinking about visiting.

After a few days in Scotland (which, by the way, if you’re visiting from England is best visit via the West Coast for some stunning views), I headed down to Wales and today, after driving around for a bit, Lloyd and I decided to try to see more of the countryside on foot. In truth, I was just hoping for a nice walk to a nearby pub and instead, found some of the more beautiful scenery I’ve come across. But rather than trying to explain it to you, I figured I’d show it to you instead. 🙂

This is the Welsh coastline! (If you’re really quick – we’ve got some videos on snapchat now – @ HandLuggageOnly)

  • We’re talking about doing a long weekend in Wales so finding these posts comes at a very opportune time. How long was this walk (in distance)? We’d love to get something in the 9km to 12km range after doing a 6km in Dingle this weekend.

    • HandLuggageOnly

The walk we took was only about 5km but the whole of West Wales has a well established coastal path to walk or cycle that goes on for over 100km.

It’s a really amazing network to drop into a key points. Hopefully the official website will help you find some points you like too! http://www.walescoastpath.gov.uk/?lang=en

      Have an amazing time! 🙂
