I’m a sucker for converted open spaces – I’ve said time and time how much I love the juxtaposition of the old and new in these living spaces (yes, these are not just ‘apartments’ to me, they’re so much more than that) and judging from your comments on here, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, you’re fans of these spaces too. Show me a bit of exposed brick and you’ve got yourself a deal! (Or at least you would if I was both – a) Looking for a new place and; b) Able to afford whatever the price is). These are a few places that truly stand out to me and make me want to want to win the lottery (or make lots of money in a similarly legal and quick way) so that I can buy them A.S.A.P.!

7 Lofts That Will Bring Out The Green-Eyed Monster in You! (7)

1.) The White Lofts, Located: Somewhere no one will tell me – probably for fear that I will decide to move in sans invitation. Clean, crisp white living spaces with stunning natural views? Yes, I could definitely get used to living in a place like this…

2.) New Firehouse Lofts, Maryland, USA: Clean and airy open spaces, exposed brick *swoon*, solid wood floors. When can I move in?

3.) The Industrial Loft, Barcelona: I love the rustic feel the peeling and cracked paint adds – coupled with the use of rustic furniture which, if not actually rustic in life at least in design offers such a stylish throwback! The beams add to it all though I fear I may find myself trying to climb up them.

4.) The Lofts at Mills Mill, South Carolina, USA: Okay, cool name already FTW! Where do you live? Mills Mill… I approve! The leather chairs and cushions are a tad too much for me but with all that exposed brick and the bird’s eye (i.e. nosey neighbour’s) view of the local area, this property is definitely #winning in my books!

5.) Penthouse at the Candy Factory Lofts, Canada: This looks a tad club-esque but the makeshift lights on the water pipes and the wood ceiling help seal the deal for me. Definitely loving the mix of old and new in this property!

6.) Summer Street Lofts, Manhattan, New York, USA: Brick and wood perfection! A perfect open space that would work as a brilliant template for my mix of new gadgets and old furniture. I want this now!!! Not yesterday, now!

7.) A Loft in Detroit (not sure what the name of the building is..): Okay, I’m going to focus more on the inside than the outside seeing as Detroit has been under considerable financial stress of late (to put it lightly). This living space with it split into two portions is both great and bad – the second space is great for running off to the second space to sulk when I’ve been told to stop eating so much ice cream but bad in that I’m too far to reach the packet of biscuits that have just been opened in the first space and hence have to swallow my pride and move back to the first living space. All in all, I love the exposed bricks though there’s something too modern and deliberate about them and the golden glow set off by the room adds to it’s charm and appeal!
