I get A LOT of travel inspiration from travel bloggers. Unique stories of places I’ve never been before, recommendations on places to visit and tips and tricks to help me travel the world more is such an invaluable source of information and one that I am always grateful for. Blogging has always been a two-way street for me. A chance to learn from other people’s experience ( I READ A LOT OF BLOGS!!!) and a chance to share my experiences too. It has given me a voice and made me part of a community of like minded traveller and I’m really grateful for this – especially so for the tips on the best places to eat! 😉
While, I’m not going to name all the travel blogs I read (that would take forever), I would like to list some of the travel posts that have really stood out to me this week! These travel bloggers are nailing it and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading these posts.
Without further ado (and in no particular order), here are some of the best travel posts available on t’internet this week!
1.) Jacintha from Urban Pixels shares a wonderful video she’s made from her trip to La Corrèze & Dordogne Valley and it’s the pure travel-envy fuel! It’s honestly not a place I’ve ever really thought about before but after seeing her video, it’s definitely one made it onto my travel radar. Check out the full post here with the video and let me know what you think.
2.) There are so many reasons why a trip to Thailand should be on your list and the people behind The Trouvaille have touched on quite a few of them! Couple with amazing photos, this post will definitely leave you itching to reach for your purse/wallet, whip your credit card out and book a trip to Thailand straight away. Check out the full post here.
3.) Monica’s blog The Travel Hack is an old fave of mine and her latest post on Portmeirion in Wales is absolutely fantastic. Portmeirion is an Italian style village in Wales and is absolutely stunning. It makes for amazing photography fodder too! I visited several years ago and have gone on and on for ages on here about Portmeirion so it was a delight to come across this post and relive the experience though Monica’s blog post and photos. Check out the full post here.
4.) Another old favourite of mine – Margo’s blog “The Overseas Escape” has some stunning photos from Margo’s time in Santorini. Pretty much no one needs to be sold on a reason to actually visit Santorini but just in case you need one (or indeed if you just wanna indulge your travel lust), then Margo has you sorted! Check out the full post here.
5.) Luzia’s from the eopnymous blog Luzia Pimpinella blog in German and English but to be honest, it doesn’t matter which language she blogs in as she has some fantastic photos from her time in Tanzania that you should check out. It paints an amazing story of her travels and really stood out to me as it’s not the most obvious of tourist destinations. Check out the full post here.
6.) Anything Copenhagen related was obviously going to be an easy win for me (which reminds me – I still have lots of photos from Copenhagen to share with you) but this quick and easy post from “Guide to Copenhagen” about the best coffee places in Copenhagen has caffeine addicted folks sorted for when they visit Copenhagen. Check out the full post here.
7.) Jess and Stephen from Flying the nest always take amazing photos and so their photo diary from Desolation Sound in Canada will leave you wanting to visit British Columbia and Canada in general as soon as you possibly can!
8.) Barcelona is another travel favourite for pretty much everyone and anyone and Julia from Explores More seems intend on not only giving you travel envy but also on making you want to visit Barcelona esta pronto! (I’ve been wanting to use the phrase “esta pronto” for ages – I speak no Spanish whatsoever except for tiny bits like that so I had to chuck that one in!). Anyhooo, Julia has included top tips for your trip to Barcelona so check out the blog post here in full!
9.) Fancy a virtual trip to Paris? Suzi from A Beautiful Adventure will transport you to Paris in seconds and leave you feeling like you’re basking in the glow of the Parisian sunshine. You may even have to book your own adventure to Paris once you’re done reading Suzi’s post. Check out the full post here.
