Arriving in China, I can’t even begin to describe how tired and jet-lagged I was (totally my fault – KLM had so many movies I’d wanted to see that I spent most of my flight catching up on my movies).

Funny thing about tiredness and jetlag – the excitement that comes from visiting a city you’ve wanted to for the longest time is so much more powerful that your general tiredness (and perhaps even more so than coffee when it comes to keeping you awake).

After a relatively quick ride into the city centre and a quick check in, we headed out to explore Hangzhou on our very first day (sans catch-up nap or even coffee come to think of it).
