The idea of a floating villages was always going to be one which piqued anyone’s curiosity and we were certainly very intrigued by this long before we visited Peru. Suffice it to say, as soon as we booked our flights, this was one of the first places we made plans to visit.
The floating villages of Lake Titicaca certainly live up to the hype as they provide some insight into Peruvian life and culture (even though we suspected that some of the people in the villages might actually spend a lot more time in the mainland than they were letting on… 😉 ).
In any case, here’s our video from our time at the beautiful and amazing floating village of Lake Titicaca and the amazing island of Taquile in Peru.
