Sometimes, when you’re caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the madness of the city that is London, it’s so easy to forget how beautiful and magnificent it is! Sometimes, it takes having to show visitors around to remind you of that. In truth, most times, I love London (it is such an amazing city!) and even when I get caught up in everyday life, I’m pretty certain that even my subconscious is still very much in love with London. In any case, this was one of those such occassions when I fell in love with London all over again…
Unsurprisingly, it started off with some grey clouds over London. Decided to hop aboard the London eye anyway…
The grey clouds soon gave way to some glorious sunshine!
And all of London came out to play in glorious technicolor (there was even a rainbow on display!)
I can see my old house from here! To be fair, most of London can see it from most places – it’s the one in the distance with the 3 wind turbines which were supposed to contribute towards the building being this amazing example of an energy efficient building. As far as I know, these fans have never supplied energy to the building… 🙂
We slowly started to make our descent…
And headed off in search of dinner while taking in all the sights on the Embankment…
London is so pretty isn’t it?
