I can’t even begin to tell you how much and for how long I’ve wanted to visit Nepal.
It’s been one place I’ve always been fascinated by – in large part due to Mount Everest and the Himalayas) but in other parts due to the absolutely fascinating history of the country. Well, as you can probably tell from our instagram, we’ve been in Nepal for almost two weeks now and boy have we been busy! (*This of course explains why we haven’t been able to blog at our regular pace lately).
Sensory overload doesn’t even begin to describe Nepal! The sights, the smells, the heat, the cold, the people, the history, the mountains… (I could go on and on here) – everything here is constantly vying for your attention, so much so that you don’t even realise till you get back to your home for the night how utterly knackered and absolutely delighted you are.
We visited several different parts of the country, stayed in lots of different types of places and actually got to spend time with the locals here and I’m so in love with this amazing country.
At this point, I do also realise I’m now rambling. As the post title suggests, I actually started writing this post to share some photos from Nepal so you can get a sense of what we’ve been up to over the last couple of weeks and how amazing Nepal is. This is one amazing country and one amazing experience I can’t wait to share with you properly in upcoming blog posts… for now though, here are some of our photos from Nepal.
