The Balearic Islands are a totally stunning place for a holiday in the Mediterranean that’s perfect for any type of traveller. Though, it can be hard to pinpoint just one island to visit. This is exactly why I wanted to share some of the best things to do in Menorca as it’s one of my favourite Balearic Islands.

You see, each of the Balearic Islands has a charm, history and stunning coastlines that are incredible to explore. From the best things to do in Ibiza to all the stunning history in Ciutadella, Menorca.

Now, although Menorca might be quieter than its neighbouring islands of Majorca and Ibiza, the quietness is all part of its charm.

Over the years, we’ve visited quite a few times and always love grabbing a car, renting a villa and exploring the island.

Now, if you’re planning a trip to explore some of the best things to do in Menorca, make sure to have a little gander below. I’ve included quite a few spots that are dotted all across the island. This all means that you’ll find lots to see and do across Menorca, regardless of where you’re staying.

1.)  Head to the cliff and cave bar

The Amazing Hidden Bar In The Caves Of Menorca, Spain (13)

Nestled within the dramatic cliffs of Menorca is the most epic Cave Bar with views across the Mediterranean.

Now, the bars name is Cova d’en Xoroi and totally worth visiting if you want to grab a tipple and some views. For us,  this was actually the last place we visited on the island and easily one of my favourites.

This is without a doubt one of the best spots to watch the sunset, too. Complete with your Pomada cocktail in hand, you’ll have the best time.

One thing to note is that there are a few steps and it isn’t accessible to everyone if you have mobility issues.

Being surrounded by a sea of, sailing is easily up there as one of the best things to do in Menorca.

The best way to do this, of course, is to take a sailing tour around Cala Galdana or, even better still, hire your very own catamaran for an hour or so to discover the most amazing views of the islands. We booked the latter sailing and yacht tour and totally loved our time heading around the coast here.

Just make sure to book in advance of when you want to head out to sea. Oh, and be prepared that plans can change with the weather conditions.

We loved it and got to practice some sailing skills, too!

Lobster is one of Menorca’s most prized dishes which dates back many centuries when locals would scour the shores for this tasty crustacean.

Interesting, back in the day, it was peasant food and the chicken was food for rich folk.  Funny how this has changed now, eh?

If it’s some tasty seafood, book a table at Café Balear in Ciutadella. The seafood is so fresh and the dishes are typically Menorcan.
