It is one of those big life decisions, proposing to your partner! It’s exciting, nerve-racking and loving. Though, like any great plan, you’ll need to do a little digging to find the best places to propose across the world.
This is exactly why I wanted to share some of the very best places to propose across the world.
Honestly, there are many epic places to propose to your significant other, that you might be a little bamboozled! Obviously, the place where you plan to propose goes hand-in-hand with the things you both love most.
For instance, if it’s romantic cities, find the best spots in places like Paris or Venice. That being said, if your partner loves nature, maybe take them to some of the incredible national parks. It really comes down to what you think they’ll love most. These places can be the most glamorous, cultured, idyllic and magical places where you can surprise and delight your partner.
Though let’s be real, sometimes the most romantic gestures happen right in your back yard, on the sofa, in your favourite restaurant. Quite literally, your proposal should reflect you and your significant other; so make sure you keep all this in mind.
Anyway, this is exactly why I wanted to share some of the best places to propose across the world.
1.) Yosemite National Park, California
Perched within the dramatic countryside of California, Yosemite National Park is incredible.
It’s easily one of the best places to propose across the world if you and your partner love the great outdoors.
Make sure to pack your hiking shoes, explore the trails and grab your permits to Half Dome in advance.
You don’t want to make the whole trip and not be able to scale the mountain!

2.) Paris, France
Okay, this might seem like the most obvious choice but it’s that for a reason. For so many people it’s the city of love and a proposal at the top of the Eiffel Tower can be a very special experience.
Again, with this one, make sure to book your tickets in advance to make your day or evening that bit easier. You don’t want to be queueing and waiting around to pop the question.

3.) London, England
London is such an eclectic city with so many different areas and palaces to explore. These all fit quite nicely as some of the best places to propose across the world; especially if your partner loves history.
Also, if you’re looking for something really quite special, pop into St Pauls Cathederal to see the Whispering Gallery.
Perched high in St Paul’s Cathedral, the Whispering Gallery is one of the most romantic places to propose. One of the key architectural designs of the Whispering Gallery is that is can carry the slightest whisper (up to a whopping 100 feet).
How romantic would it be to have your partner at the other end of the dome hear you softly propose from across the dome.

4.) Venice, Italy
Venice is another one of those popular and best places to propose across the world that’s totally unique.
Once here, make sure to grab yourself a private gondola and visit the Bridge of Sighs. After a long relaxing journey across the picturesque canals, you reach The Bridge of Sighs and pop the question here.
Local folklore states that lovers that show their affection under the bridge will be granted, eternal love! What more could you ever ask for?

5.) New York City, New York
Okay, so there’s quite a few stunning spots to explore in New York City and lots of cool places to propose.
One place to get some incredible views for a proposal is at Top of the Rock.
Perched on top of the Rockefeller Center, head over here at sunset (and buy fast track tickets online and in advance) to secure a spot in the twilight ours.
Once at the top, pop the question. Expect some crowds and cheers!

6.) Portmeirion, Wales
The tiny Italian village in Wales is easily one of the best places to propose across the world! It’s totally stunning and a surprising spot that you might not think would exist in Wales.
Book yourself into the hotel, stroll around the tiny little streets and pop the question when it feels right. Honestly, it’s stunning here; especially on a sunny summer day.

7.) Bali, Indonesia
Bali is a totally stunning island to visit and one place that’s filled with incredible places to see.
This makes it really easy to find a good few places that are truly magical and well worth popping the question at.
If it’s the best temples you’re after, then you’ll easily find them exploring the island. For example, Tanah Lot at sunset is really special; head down to the rocks by the ocean and propose here.
It really is one of the best places to propose across the world. Just make sure to pack the sunblock, you don’t want a burnt proposal.

8.) Iceland
Iceland is one of those places that has so much natural history to explore. Depending on what you and your partner like, either rent a car or a camper and explore some of the incredible places across the country.
For a really special spot, check into the Blue Lagoon and pre-arrange a proposal location at a certain time. Honestly, it’ll be so special.
Just remember not to lose the ring!

9.) Ice Hotel, Sweden
Okay, so this might be one of the coolest and best places to propose across the world (pun intended).
Perched high up in Sweden, within the Arctic Circle is the Ice Hotel that is out-of-this-world cool! Now, make sure to book yourself into one of their ‘art rooms’ that are created each year by international artists. It’s totally magical and an incredibly unique place to pop the question.
Afterwards, you can head out on a tour to watch the Northern Lights, try your hand at ice-carving and sledge across the frozen lakes.
It’s such a beautiful part of Sweden and there really isn’t too many places that’ll beat a proposal here.
