I do love a good getaway… especially to Bristol!
In any case, off I’m out and about exploring Bristol in more detail this weekend and so far so good.
I swear there’s just something about summertime in the UK generally that makes every city that extra bit special. I’ve been fairly relaxed all evening, chilling out in the park, grabbing a bite or two (or three) to eat, attended the harbour festival (which quickly became a street party) and hanging out by the pool at the hotel (if you’ve been in the sweltering heat in London this last week, you’ll know why pool time was a much-needed luxury).
Even without making any plans to, I’ve already seen a Banksy piece in my jaunt around the city (one of my faves as I find it so funny – it’s called “The Well-Hung Lover” and you’ll see why)… Bristol is truly an artist’s city and I plan on exploring as much of it as this weekend.
