Confession: I’m still not entirely sure how to pronounce Phuket! Is the ‘Ph’ pronounced like ‘F’ or ‘P’. Come to think of it, is the ‘Ket’ pronounced like ‘Pet” or ‘Pit’. To be entirely honest, I was too excited upon arrival in Phuket to ponder on these questions at any great depth. I just wanted to get out there and explore what was on offer!
As you can imagine, none of this would be done without a dip first to cool off in the rooftop pool! After the heat in Singapore and upon arrival in Thailand, a pool was such a welcome distraction!
To top things off, our apartment had a private plunge pool so we moved from the rooftop pool with all intentions to get changed and ready for a night out in Phuket but instead ended up getting distracted (again) and taking a dip in the plunge pool! The joys of having a private ‘pool’ on your balcony is immense! The only thing missing was something (bubbly perhaps) to sip on while relaxing in the pool.
Where are my manners? I haven’t even shown you around the flat yet? Come with me while I take you through a whistle-stop tour if you please…
Okay, now that you’re done with a tour of the flat, let’s head out to explore what Phuket has to offer!!! The photos from the night are mostly iPhone photos so please bear with. 🙂
Our night in Phuket was an ‘interesting experience’ to say the least! I can not promise you will not be in appropriately groped here (and that’s the guys I’m talking to here – girls are fine) but everything here is all in good humour so it’s best to take a relaxed approach to a night out here. It really is fun once you get used to the sights but I can imagine this is not for everyone and perhaps for the more open-minded or adventurous lot out there…
Finally, we got ourselves into a Tuk-Tuk and headed back home!
The next day was filled with a pretty long day of exploring Islands in Phang Nga Bya but there are waaaaay too many photos from that day to chuck into this post so might need to take a breather and put them all into another post! At the end of the Island exploring, we changed hotels and ended up getting an upgrade to a suite with a private pool on the balcony! Nice way to relax after an action packed day!
As you can imagine, we also went for a dip in the main pool too and the views from here were pretty spectacular too!!!
And there you have it folks! Ooooh, do look out for more photos from the hotel and our Thai-island hopping! 😉
