Lisbon is one of the most exciting cities you can visit in Europe. Not only that, but it’s also steeped in history, has loads of things to do and lots of yummy restaurants, too. Not only that, you’ve got the magical, Sintra right on the city’s doorstep. All in all, it makes for an incredible city to visit; and that’s before we even mention all the best views in Lisbon to find.

There’s so much to see and do in the city, plus the nightlife is absolutely incredible so suffice it to say, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a dull moment in Lisbon. That being said, there are so epic spots and the best view in Lisbon to find that you really shouldn’t miss.

Lisbon is covered with terraces also known as ‘miradouros’ where you can do just that. Plus, on top of that, there’s a heap of viewpoints you kinda can’t miss in the city that isn’t just vistas or high up.

You see, Lisbon is totally blessed as a hilly city, so this means you can get some of the best views in Lisbon at lots of places across the city.

Best views in Lisbon

Anyway, with that in mind, take a look at some of the best views in Lisbon to see. Have the best time exploring the city.

1.) Castelo de São Jorge

Best Things To Do In Lisbon (31)

If you walk along the walls of the São Jorge Castle, you will be rewarded with amazing views over the rest of the city that include the river and a maze of medieval buildings and houses. For me, this is one of the best views in Lisbon that you really shouldn’t miss.

Not only that, but the wall edges are a little shorter than you’d expect here though (especially in the middle) so it’d be understandable if you’re a tad scared of traversing the top of the walls here.

Afterwards, take a wander around the Alfama neighbourhood and explore some of the historic streets and tasty restaurants that are everywhere here.

That’s the thing I noticed most about Lisbon, too. You don’t need to scale the highest points in the city to find some of the best views in Lisbon. They’re everywhere and some of the best perspectives are from lower heights.

This is totally great if you get vertigo as you won’t need to worry about some unnecessary heights, too.
