I have a love affair with Wales. Wales as a whole has been one of my favourite places in the UK, and it was home for quite some time. So, I may be biased here, but the Welsh are some of the kindest and warmest people you’ll meet. Not only that, but they are blessed with the most glorious coastline, especially in West Wales, which is a rugged coastline of bays, coves, and cliffs that are just phenomenal to visit.

Honestly, the rolling hills of Pembrokeshire, beautiful beaches and parks like the Brecon Beacons make it a country you have to explore, especially if you love the great outdoors and hiking in Wales

There’s much to see and do in Wales, with the Ceredigion Coast Path being one you can’t miss if you’re near Cardigan, New Quay, Aberystwyth or Ynyslas (on the fringes of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia)).

That being said, don’t worry if you’re not based in these hubs; you can join the Ceredigion Coastal Path in any section you want. Just keep an eye out for the wooden markers that I’ve popped in the photos below. Honestly, most people never do the full 60-mile route (which is a lot and definitely can’t be done in a day).

For this trip, we joined the Ceredigion Coast Path around Tresaith (Google Maps pin), Cardigan and Llangranog. All stunning places, and you have some stunning stops along the way. For instance, you can stop off at Tresaith Beach and see the waterfall – it’s a great place for a sunset and one place you don’t want to miss.

If you’re thinking of joining the Ceredigion Coast Path, check out the official website for the sections. They make it really easy to manage each section of the hike, and you can really delve into each point. We found it so helpful as it also gives local and timely advice that might be happening with weather, closures and such.

But join you must! And this is exactly what we did recently, which was well needed after a few days in Scotland. After parking up, Lloyd and I decided to try to see more of the countryside on foot.

In truth, I was just hoping for a nice walk to a nearby pub and instead, found some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve come across.

But rather than trying to explain it to you, I figured I’d show it to you instead. This is the Welsh coastline and specifically the Ceredigion Coast Path in and around Cardigan and Tresaith and the Blue Lagoon. Have the best time if you’re thinking of doing it!
